We take inspiration for these sessions from many places including ‘Forest School’ and ‘The Muddy Puddle Teacher’.

During our ‘Outdoor Explorer’ sessions, we will be using only natural, repurposed or upcycled resources. The whole session will be outdoors in all weathers (extreme hot/cold or stormy weather will be reviewed).
The children benefit from outdoor curriculum linked learning which will cover all of the Early Years Foundation Stage seven areas of learning as well as supporting the Characteristics of Effective Learning in an outdoor environment.

These sessions should inspire a love of nature, provide enriching meaningful learning and improve children’s mental health and wellbeing by encouraging them to be more active outdoors.

Each room (Blue, Green and Pre-school) will have one session per week.
